题目:  Magnetic excitations in the nematic state of iron-based superconductors

摘要:

Collective magnetic excitations are important for understanding the intertwined orders such as electronic nematic and superconductivity in iron-based superconductors (FeSC) [1]. Besides the important spin-1 resonance mode directly coupled to superconductivity, magnetic excitations in the nematic state and across the nematic transition of twinning-free sample, have been suggested to be essential for understanding the magnetic ground state and origin of the electronic nematic in FeSC.

In this talk, I will introduce our neutron scattering and RIXS (resonant inelastic x-ray scattering) studies of the magnetic excitations of detwinned BaFe2As2 and FeSe, together with our development of detwinning strategies [2-5]. The intrinsic spin waves in detwinned BaFe2As2 provides a new insight in understanding the magnetic ground state and interactions [2, 3] of FeSC. The combined neutron scattering and RIXS measurements on detwinned BaFe2As2 and FeSe reveal an orbital-selective spin resonance and unprecedented nematic spin correlations (spin excitation anisotropy) in FeSe [4, 5]. We will also discuss the interpretation of our results.

报告人简介:

鲁兴业,北京师范大学物理学系青年研究员、博士生导师,2019年国家优秀青年科学基金获得者。2014年博士毕业于中国科学院物理研究所;201411月至201612月在美国莱斯大学和瑞士保罗谢勒研究所瑞士光源从事博士后研究,入选玛丽居里基金会资助的PSI Fellow(2015-2017)2017年回国后到北京师范大学物理学系开展工作。主要研究方向为关联电子材料的中子散射和共振非弹性x射线散射(RIXS)研究,关注的体系包括铁基超导、铜基超导、铱氧化物、低维量子磁性材料等等 。已在ScienceNature子刊、PRL等学术期刊发表论文70余篇,总引用次数1500余次。
