Title: Quantum Secure Direct Communication: Sending Secrets Without Encryption

Abstract：Quantum secure direct communication (QSDC) is one branch of quantum cryptography. Since the first QSDC protocol proposed in 2000, it has been developed steadily. In QSDC, secret message is sent directly over a quantum channel. QSDC has changed the infra-structure of secure communication. QSDC is also a powerful basic quantum communication primitive to build other quantum communication protocols such as quantum bidding, quantum signature and quantum dialogue and so on.  In this talk, I will briefly introduce the basic ideas of QSDC, some typical QSDC protocols, QSDC in a noisy and lossy environment, experimental development of QSDC. Future perspective is also given toward the end of the talk.

龙桂鲁博士简介：龙桂鲁教授，英国和美国物理学会会士，国家杰出青年基金获得者。1982年获得山东大学理学学士，1987年获得清华大学理学博士学位。1987年在清华大学任教至今。1989 -1993年在英国萨塞克斯大学从事博士后研究。他的主要学术贡献包括：1）建立和发展量子直接通信；2）提出量子搜索相位匹配，构造量子精确搜索算法;3)提出以酉算子线性组合进行计算的对偶量子计算理论；4）用核磁共振量子体系验证非绝和乐量子计算等算法。曾获得国家自然科学二等奖、三等奖，教育部自然科学一等奖、二等奖，IBM全球杰出学者奖，中国电子学会自然科学奖一等奖等。他现任亚太物理学会联合会理事长。
