摘要:
I will present our current understanding of the evolution of the universe from early universe to the present. I will highlight a few success stories enabled by large-scale nonlinear cosmological hydrodynamic simulations, including the Lyman alpha forest and the missing baryons in the universe. Finally, on the core astrophysics problem - how galaxies are formed - I will list a number of difficult issues currently faced by practitioners in the field and how overcoming these issues may propel the field to new heights.
个人简介:
岑人岳教授,曾以资深天文学家/教授任职于普林斯顿大学天体物理系。2022年10月加入浙江大学物理学院,求是特聘教授。研究领域包括理论天体物理,超级计算等。发表论文250余篇,论文总被引27000余次,其中12篇论文单篇引用次数超过500次,谷歌学术H 因子为 83。当前主要研究领域包括星系和星系际介质的形成和演化,超新星和星系核反馈过程,宇宙再电离,宇宙缺失重子,球状星团形成等。岑教授在天文领域贡献凸出。他是宇宙流体动力超算模拟领域开拓人之一;首先指出星系团质量函数演化对宇宙学参数的强约束;建立了现代莱曼阿尔法森林理论等等。
